MANUEL MARTÍ MORENO
Vita
Manuel Martí Moreno The Bech Art Gallery is now presenting the Valencian artist Manuel Martí Moreno, whose extraordinary sculptures captivate through their blend of industrial materiality and human expressiveness. Using iron, wire, and welded nuts, Martí Moreno creates fragile, organically appearing figures that balance between strength and vulnerability. His works explore themes such as identity, existence, and human perception. Out of hard, industrial materials emerge pieces of surprising lightness and poetic depth—sculptures that immediately touch the viewer and invite reflection. His sculptures possess a remarkable ambivalence: they appear both stable and fragile, massive and light, technical and organic. Behind the visible form is always the question of humanity and its existence. What makes up a body? Where does identity begin? How much can a form leave open? Martí Moreno doesn’t give clear answers to that. His art thrives more on the tension between what is visible and what is imagined. It’s not meant to be quickly deciphered, but to be observed – for a slow engagement with form, material, and space. Through his international exhibitions, in cities like Munich, Barcelona, Madrid, Miami, Chicago, Narbonne, Venice, and Saint-Tropez, Martí Moreno has established himself as a distinct voice in contemporary sculpture. His works have also been featured at numerous art fairs and in well-known group exhibitions.
